The Valley Cultural Coalition’s mission is to ensure the health of the arts and the cultural communities in the Central Valley.

Announcements

General Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month from 11:30AM-1:00PM. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, November 10 at Arte Americas, 1630 Van Ness.

We encourage you to attend our 2016 General Meetings to network, partner and collaborate with other community members who share VCC's passion. These monthly meetings will focus on valuable information for the cultural arts sector in the valley each month. The location of the meeting will be announced monthly. Everyone is welcome.

We are pleased to announce that our State of the Arts Luncheon will be held on October 21, 2016 from 11:00 - 1:30 at the Pacific Southwest Building, 1058 Fulton. Lunch will be served by Garza's Catering. You won't want to miss bidding on our outstanding silent auction items including art, tickets and memberships from several arts groups in the valley.

Our main speaker will be Dr. Don Simmons, Professor of Humanics at Fresno State.  Earlier this year, Don spoke at one of our General Meetings and was so well received that everyone asked him to return. Don will be speaking on  building a successful nonprofit, grant writing, and marketing.  We are so excited to have such an expert in his field present at our luncheon.

We will be viewing a video of the Tony Award winning musical, Hamilton, narrated by Lin-Manuel Miranda.  The video will provide a behind the scenes view of how the musical was developed.

Our luncheon will conclude with a panel led by Donald Munro. The topic of the panel discussion will be the Arts in the Valley.

Tickets are $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers. Tables of 10 are $250 for members and $350 for nonmembers. Be sure to renew your membership before the luncheon to get the discounted rate. Email office@valleyculturalcoalition.org with any questions.
